{"id":826,"date":"2025-03-10T10:58:22","date_gmt":"2025-03-10T10:58:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.testdb.chesscoders.com\/?p=826"},"modified":"2025-03-10T10:58:23","modified_gmt":"2025-03-10T10:58:23","slug":"follow-up-auger-masterclass-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.testdb.chesscoders.com\/en\/2025\/03\/10\/follow-up-auger-masterclass-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Follow-up: Auger Masterclass 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The second edition of the Masterclass with&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.auger.org\/\">Observatorul Pierre Auger<\/a>&nbsp;within the International Masterclass Program 2024, under the aegis of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ippog.org\/imc_projects\">IPPOG<\/a>, ended successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/augermasterclasses.lip.pt\/imc2024\">Auger Masterclass 2024<\/a>&nbsp;It took place over six days in March, with four days being organized in Europe, with a maximum of 5 participating institutions per session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evenimentul organizat la&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.spacescience.ro\/?p=7370\">ISS \u2013 Filial\u0103 INFLPR<\/a>&nbsp;a avut loc S\u00e2mb\u0103t\u0103, 16 Martie 2024, al\u0103turi de alte patru institu\u0163ii participante din Portugalia (Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico, Universidade da Madeira, Universidade de Coimbra, Universidade de \u00c9vora).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The full-day program (adopted by all participating institutions) included introductory lessons on (astro-)particle physics and experiments in astroparticle physics, a practical data analysis session, and an online session with all participants of the day. In total, 1460 events measured at the Pierre Auger Observatory (from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/opendata.auger.org\/\">Auger open data<\/a>). The results obtained by each participating (high school) student were uploaded centrally to a page&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/augermasterclasses.lip.pt\/activities\/masterclass\/59\">web<\/a>&nbsp;dedicated to the event, illustrating a celestial map with the exposure or flux of reconstructed ultra-high energy cosmic radiation events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an international video call with all the day's participants, a live tour of the Pierre Auger Observatory in Argentina was offered, accompanied by a series of Q&amp;A and a final Quiz, moderated by researchers from the Pierre Auger Collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Contact<\/strong>: Dr. Gina Isar<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A doua edi\u0163ie de Masterclass cu&nbsp;Observatorul Pierre Auger&nbsp;\u00een cadrul Programului Interna\u0163ional de Masterclass 2024, sub egida&nbsp;IPPOG, s-a \u00eencheiat cu succes.
